‘Miraitowa’ is the official mascot of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Miraitowa is a combination of the Japanese words for future and eternity. The mascot of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has the same indigo blue ichimatsu–patterns as the Emblem of the Tokyo 2020 Games on its head and body. The mascot's personality is derived from a traditional Japanese proverb that means to learn old things well and to acquire new knowledge from them.
