Exam Pattern
NDA Exam Pattern: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) prescribes NDA exam pattern so that candidates know the overall structure of the exam.
The exam pattern is designed to recruit the best candidates as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
NDA exam is conducted twice a year in two stages-written exam and SSB interview.
UPSC NDA written exam comprises two papers
- Mathematics and
- General Ability Test (GAT)
Both the papers of the written exam carry objective-type questions.
A total 270 questions are asked in the NDA exam, out of which 120 questions are for Maths and 150 for GAT. The total marks allotted to the exam are 900 marks. The section-wise qualifying marks for the written exam are 25 per cent.
