The Salt March began before the First Round Table Conference (1930-1931), therefore, statement (d) is incorrect. The Dandi March, also known as Dandi Satyagraha was a non-violent civil disobedience led by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. It lasted from 12th March, 1930 to 6 th April, 1930 as a direct action against tax resistance and the British salt monopoly. According to Gandhi, this protest would dramatise Purna Swaraj in a way that was meaningful to every Indian and would build unity between Hindus and Muslims by fighting a wrong that touched them equally. On the request of Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay, Gandhi allowed a large number of women to participate in the Salt March.
