Section 366A of the Indian Penal Code punishes procuring a child for an illicit sexual act with imprisonment of up to 10 years and fine as well.
Here procuring means inducing or giving greed to a child and taking her away. Procuring also includes giving or selling someone a child for this purpose.
This provision was added in 2018 by the Criminal Law Amendment Act 2018.
