The word Sexual Harassment has been defined under Section 2(n) of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prohibition, Prevention and Redressal) Act.
It includes physical contact and advances; or a demand or request for sexual favours; or making sexually coloured remarks; or showing pornography; or any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature.
Unwelcome physical contact such as touching at private parts, a touching woman in such a way that makes a woman feel uncomfortable etc.
Showing pornography such as making a woman uncomfortable by playing adulterous content in front of her, etc.
Asking for sexual favours such as asking for cohabitation for promotion or any professional gain etc.
