It considers every person aged below 18 years as a child.
The Policy has identified four key priority areas:
survival,
health and nutrition;
education and development;
protection and participation.
Based on this policy the ministry of women and child development has formulated the National Action Plan for children and National Coordination and Action Group to monitor all the ongoing schemes of various ministries.
