The earliest stage is pre-natal, before birth.Explanation:Human development starts from the pre-natal stage inside the mother’s womb. This stage has three phases:- Germinal period: first 2 weeks after conception.- Embryonic period: 2 to 8 weeks from conception.- Fetal period: 9 weeks until birth (38–40 weeks).The table below explains the other stages for comparison, but development clearly begins pre-natally.
Stage of infancy
It refers to the first year or the early period of a child's development in which the child grows rapidly after birth.It is a crucial period of development in which the child learns to sit, crawl, stand, etc.
Pre-childhood stage
It refers to the time period from the age of 'Two to Seven years'. It is a very crucial period for child's overall development.It is also known as the toy age, pregang age, and exploratory age, etc.
Post-childhood stage
It refers to the time period from the age of 'seven to twelve years'. The signs of puberty usually begin to appear in this stage.It is also known as troublesome age, gang age, play age, etc.
