The Humboldt Current, also called the Peru Current, is a cold,low-salinity ocean current that flows north along the western coast of South America. North Atlantic Drift is the warm ocean current flowing north-east under the influence of the prevailing winds, from the Gulf of Mexico towards North-West Europe. Benguela Current flows northward off the coast of southwestern Africa along the western coasts of Namibia, and southern Angola. Agulhas Current flows south along the African east coast.
