The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has relaunched its educational broadcast channel Gyan Darshan through webcasting along with its Electronic Media Production Centre (EMPC) page on Facebook. The Electronic Media Production Centre (EMPC) serves as a Nodal Resource Centre in production, dissemination and transmission of educational software in the country, utilising a wide range of communication media. This makes the IGNOU programmes available on mobile phones, too.
