The '100 Most Influential in UK-India Relations: Celebrating Women' list was launched by UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid to mark India Day in the Houses of Parliament in London.
Penny Mordaunt, Britain's Secretary of State for Defence, is the other politician in the list.
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is a celebratory day observed annually on 9 January by India to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community towards the development of India.
The day commemorates the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa to Mumbai on 9 January 1915.
It was established in 2003 and is sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs and FICCI, CII, and DoNER.
