The aggregate which i s obtained from the seashore or rivers and produces minimum voids(up to 32%)in the concrete is known as Rounded aggregate. They have minimum ratio of surface area to the volume and the cement paste required is minimum. Due to less frictional resistance it gives higher workability but less strength due to poor interlocking bond.
