Assumption for truss analysis:- → The member cannot develop moments at the ends forces. → The connections to other member are perfectly pinned/hinged through frictionless (smooth) pips. → Each member is of uniform cross sectional area. → The entire structure is in one plane if it is a plane truss. → Load act at the joints only. → Self weight of the truss is neglected. → It the member are connected at the ends with gusset plates and welded, no fixity is assumed.
