Use ‘few’ in place of‘little’. ‘Little’ is used for uncountable nouns, while ’few' is used for countable nouns. Using ‘the’ before ‘few’ gives the sense of‘some but all’.
For Ex: -
(i) He lost the few friends he had. (not many friends, but all of them)
(ii) I have little money to buy a house, (hardly any money)
