Dachigam National Park is in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It covers an area of 141km2. It is located in the Zabarwan Range of the Western Himalayas. The variation in altitude is vast, ranging from 5500lt to 14000lt abovemean sea level. It is marked with coniferous forest. The main animal species that Dachigam is known for is the hangul, or the Kashmir stag.
