Four people were awarded Padma Vibhushan in 2019. These are Ms. Teejan Bai (Art-Vocals-Folk), Shri Ismail Omar Guelleh (Foreigner), Shri Anil Kumar Manibhai Naik (Trade & Industry-Infrastructure) and Shri Balwant Moreshwar Purandare (Theatre). Padma Vibhushan is one of the highest civilian awards of Republic of India. In 2020, 16 people have been awarded Padma Vibhushan.
