The Nizam Sagar Dam is situated in Telangana. It is a reservoir constructed across the Manjira River. It was mainly constructed for the irrigation services. It was constructed in 1923 by Mir Osman Ali Khan, the 7th Nizam of the erstwhile Hyderabad State. It is the oldest dam in the state of Telangana. Manjira River is a tributary of the river Godavari.
