(2) The Indus Valley Civilisation,also known as Harappan Civilisation (3300–1300 BCE;mature period 2600–1900 BCE), flourished mainly in Pakistan, western India, and northeastern Afghanistan. It extended rom Pakistani Balochistan in the west to Uttar Pradesh in the east, north eastern Afghanistan to the north and Maharashtra to the south.
