Rajasthan Solar Energy Policy and Rajasthan Wind and Hybrid Energy Policy - 2019 i. The new policies set a target of producing 30 thousand MW of solar power and 4 thousand MW of wind energy by the year 2024-25. ii. Private sector agricultural land can be used to set up wind energy and solar power projects without any land conversion. iii. Provision of separate exemption in transmission and distribution charges for wind, solar and hybrid plants to be set up by 2023 and 500 MW capacity forown use and for sale to third parties. iv. Several attractive provisions have been made in these policies including 100 percent relaxation in stamp duty to the manufacturers of solar and windenergy, land allocation at concessional rate of 50 percent, exemption in electricity duty for 10 years, investment grant up to 90 percent in SGST. v. Rajasthan is second in terms of solar power generation.
