Northeast states are placed under the Territory Coal, whereas other states with coal reserves are placed under Gondwana Coal.
Coal reserves are found in states like Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Northeast states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
