Sher khan defeated Humayun at Chausa in 1539 and kanauj in 1540, resulting into Humayun’s fleeing to Iran. Sher khan was an ethnic Pashtun, and establishedSur Dynasty. However he died an accidental death in 1545 and was succeeded by his son, Islam Shah.
