Rao Chandrasen Rathode was the only ruler apart from Rana Udai Singh II who refused to bow down before Akbar.
Chandrasen Rathore also known as a forgotten hero was a ruler of Marwar, which is currently known as Jodhpur. He defended his kingdom for nearly
two decades against attacks from the Mughal Empire. He was succeeded by Udai Singh.
Rao Chandrasen was the son of King Maldev of Marwar. These were contemporaries of Maharana Pratap. Seeing his merit, Maldev appointed him as
his successor despite being small.
This enraged his brothers Ramsingh and Uday Singh and met Akbar.
Akbar sent troops several times to subdue them. But this hero never bowed down to Akbar.
After much pressure, Chandrasen left Jodhpur and camped at Sewana and started the war against Akbar.
