Solution:

Let the total money of the man = Rs. x

Share of his wife = Rs.

\frac{x}{2}

Share of his each son

= \frac{1}{3} \times \frac{2}{3} \times \frac{\text{Rs.}x}{2}

= \frac{\text{Rs.}x}{9}

Share of his each daughter

= \frac{1}{4} \left( \frac{x}{2} - \frac{x}{3} \right) = \frac{\text{Rs.}x}{24}

Now,

\frac{x}{24} = 20,000

\therefore \frac{x}{9} = \frac{20000 \times 24}{9}

= \text{Rs.}\,53{,}333.33

Hence, share of each son = Rs. 53,333.33
