Read the passage carefully and answer the question.
The word 'boycott' has come from the name of Irish landlord, Captain Charles C. Boycott. Captain Boycott's tenants decided to teach him a lesson when he refused to take lower rents from them.
They decided not to speak to him at all, No one would work for him. They would not allow the postman to deliver his letters to him Captain Boycott now found himself in a difficult situation.
