Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is located on the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, which is a part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The park was created on 24 th May 1983 to protect marine life such as the corals and nesting sea turtles prevalent in the area.
