The genetic information is transferred from DNA to m RNA to protein. The proteins are made up of some 20 amino acids whose sequence is hidden in the sequence of nucleotides of mRNA. Hence, genetic code consists of all 20 amino acids. Thus genetic code is the relationship of amino acids sequence in a polypetide and nucleotide\/base sequence in mRNA antisense strand and DNA.
