(A) Crop - It is used for storing of food. (B) Gizzard or proventriculus - Helps in grinding the food particles. (C) Hepatic or gastric caeca - A ring of 6-8 blind tubules, present at the junction of foregut and midgut, which secrete digestive juice. (D) Malpighian tubules - A ring of 100-150 yellow coloured thin filamentous Malpighian tubules, present at the junction of midgut and hindgut, which helps in removal of excretory products from haemolymph.
