- As per shown in the figure the river is meandering. - As water flowing under gravity seldom flows straight for any long distance a winding course soon develops which is called meanders. - When the river flows of water enter into course to B in the given figure, it will erode the outer bank into a steep cliff at B and deposit eroded material at A and C. - This behaviour of the river changes the shape of the riverbed.
