\text{Imports} - \text{Exports}

Explanation:

For company X in Year I, ratio is

and imports

I = 3.6

crore.

So, exports:

E = \frac{3.6}{0.6} = 6

crore.

Thus,

p = I - E = 3.6 - 6 = -2.4

For company Y in Year V, ratio is

\frac{I}{E} = 1.2

and exports

E = 5

crore.

So, imports:

I = 1.2 \times 5 = 6

crore.

Thus,

q = I - E = 6 - 5 = 1
