Booting is the process of starting or restarting a computer. When we turn on the computer, the processor chip looks for the ROM chip that contains the BIOS (basic in- put/output system), which is firmware that holds the startup instructions. The BIOS executes the power-on self test (POST) to make sure hardware is connected properly and operating correctly
