Disability Insurance, often called disability income insurance, is a form of Insurance that Insures the beneficiary's earned income against the risk that disability v/ill make working (and therefore earning) impossible. It is quite unheard of in India. However, normally life insurance policies have 'riders’ and personal accident policy has add-ons that compensate one in an event where he becomes disabled and is no longer able to earn.
