Solution:

Suppose Giridhar invested ₹ x in company A.

∴

\frac{x \times 14}{100} + \frac{(25000-x) \times 13}{100}

= 3340

or,

\frac{14x}{100} + 250 - \frac{13x}{100}

= 3340

or,

\frac{x}{100}

= 90 or, x = ₹ 9000
