HOTSPOTLotsSaxet Inc. manufactures silicon units used in computer chips. At a required station in the manufacturing process, Saxet has only one acid purification machine (the Wylie), and that machine processes each lot of units. The Wylie processesunits each day for at most 8 hours on any given day. Upon completion of the processing by the Wylie, the probability is 20% that, for a randomly selected lot of 20-centimeter (20 cm) units, the probability is 12%. A lot is usable upon completionof processing by the Wylie unless it has been deemed unusable and each lot’s usability is independent of every other lot’s usability.TableThe table contains information about all of the lots that had been transferred to the Wylie station by the beginning of today. Because of a backlog at the Wylie station, no normal-priority lots will be transferred to the Wylie station until each lot inthe table, plus any additional urgent-priority lots that may be transferred to the Wylie station, are processed, according to the procedure outlined in the Wylie Station tab. | Lot | Size of units (centimeters) | Priority | Number of units |
