Solution:

Each statement alone leaves out one of the terms x or z, so we cannot find their sum using any statement alone. Moreover, even combining both statements does not help:

\;y=11-x y=13-z

\;11-x=13-z z-

\;x=13-11

It is only possible to find

z-x
