None of the given factors made the U.S. look forward to India for importing IT services. Indian companies lagged behind the U.S. in terms of quality of core IT services. The infrastructure of the U.S. was stronger than that of India and most of the U.S. call centers were based in India due to cost reasons. The most important factor for making India as an attractive destination for exporting IT services was availability of skilled labor at lower wages which resulted in cost savings.
