Patch Management: To keep our network secure we need to apply patches on a regular basis. Whenever
a vulnerability is discovered the software producer should release a patch to fix it. Microsoft for
instance have “Patch Tuesday” (2nd Tuesday of the month). They release all their patches for that
month. If critical vulnerabilities are discovered they push those patches outside of the Tuesday.
Most organizations give the patches a few weeks to be reviews and then implement them in their
environment.
