Spermatogenesis is the formation of haploid male gamete from diploid spermatogonia. It is continued process. However, it is divided into two types for descriptive purpose formation of spermatid and the formation of spermatozoa (spermiogenesis). Formation of spermatids is divided into three phases, i.e., multiplication, growth and maturation phase. Out of three phase of formation of spermatid, growth phase (II) is character used by spermatocytogenesis. In this phase diploid spermatogium (multiplication phase) increase in size by accumulation of cytoplasm and replicating DNA and are then termed as primary spermatocyte which is also diploid and undergo meiosis-I division, to form secondary spermatogonia.
