There are two types of sex chromosomes, i.e., homologous (XX) and non-homologous (differential) (XY). Non-homologous region carry completely sex linked genes as they do not undergo crossing over, while homologous region carry incompletely sex linked gene as they undergo crossing over. The gene present in non-homologous region of Y-chromosome are called holandric.
