,

3x+6y=a-2

has no solution.

Since, we know that simultaneous linear equations

a_{1}x+b_{1}y=c_{1}

and

a_{2}x+b_{2}y=c_{2}

has no solution,

if

\frac{a_{1}}{a_{2}}=\frac{b_{1}}{b_{2}}\neq\frac{c_{1}}{c_{2}}

Hence, from the given equations,

⇒

\frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{3}\neq\frac{3}{a-2}

To satisfy above condition,

a-2\neq 9

⇒

a\neq 11
