Both Assertion and Reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion. The property of adsorption is shown to a great extent by solids than liquids as extent of adsorption increases with surface area of adsorbent. Solids like charcoal, silica can act as good absorbents because of increased surface area.
