As we know that, during expansion due to

heating, change in volume

\Delta V = V_{0} \gamma \Delta T

Here,

V_{0}, \gamma

and

\Delta T

are initial volume, volumetric expansion coefficient and change in temperature.

Since, densicy

\left(\rho\right) = \frac{\text{mass }(m)}{\text{volume }(V)}

As volume increases by

\Delta V

∴ Density decreases.
