Sulphur dioxide, SO2 is not used as an insecticide. It is used as food preservatives for dried apricots and other dried fruits. It is used as an antichlor as it decomposes to residual hypochlorite or chlorine. It is also used as a disinfectant, referigerant due to condensing properties.
