Calculation: Let the length of each train be L. When a train crosses a pole completely, it traverses a distance equal to its own length. According to the question Velocity of first train $= \frac{L}{5}$ Velocity of second train $= \frac{L}{6}$ Whenever a train crosses another train, Each train travels a distance equal to the sum of their lengths at relative speed. ⇒ Distance to be traveled = L + L = 2L Since they are travelling in the same direction, we have ⇒ Relative speed $= \frac{L}{5} - \frac{L}{6} = \frac{L}{30}$ ∴ Time taken to cross each other $= \frac{2L}{\frac{L}{30}} = 60$ sec
