Malik Kafur has ended the Chola dynasty. ● Malik Kafur was a famous slave-general of the Delhi Sultanate Alauddin Khalji. ● During the 1299 invasion of Gujarat, he was captured by Alauddin's General, Nusrat Khan, and rose to prominence in the 1300's. ● Kafur, commander of Alauddin's forces, defeated the Mongol invaders in 1306. ● Subsequently, he led a series of expeditions against the Yadavas (1308), the Kakatiyas (1310), the Hoysalas (1311) and the Pandyas (1311) in the southern part of India. ● He brought back many treasures from these campaigns and many elephants and horses for the Sultanate of Delhi.
