Question : 85 of 271
Marks: +1, -0
∫ex(1+x)cos⁡2(exx)dx\int \frac{e^x(1+x)}{\cos^2(e^x x)}dx equals
Solution:
Let I=∫ex(1+x)cos⁡2(exx)dxI = \int \frac{e^x(1+x)}{\cos^2(e^x x)}dx
Put xex=tx e^x = t ⇒(ex⋅1+exx)dx=dt\Rightarrow (e^x \cdot 1 + e^x x) dx = dt
∴I=∫dtcos⁡2t\therefore I = \int \frac{dt}{\cos^2 t} =∫sec⁡2tdt= \int \sec^2 t dt =tan⁡t+C= \tan t + C =tan⁡(xex)+C= \tan(x e^x) + C
