Question : 20 of 74
Marks: +1, -0
Intersecting the y-axis at a distance of 2 units above the origin and making an angle of 30° with positive direction of the x-axis.
Solution:
We know that the equation of line with slope m and passing through
the point (x0,y0)(x_0, y_0) is given by (y – y0y_0) = m(x – x0x_0)
Here, m = tan 30° = 13\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} , x0x_0 = 0 , y0y_0 = 2
(y - 2) = 13\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} (x - 0) ⇒ x - 3y+23\sqrt{3}y + 2\sqrt{3} = 0
