Question : 25 of 54
Marks: +1, -0
A coin is tossed twice, what is the probability that atleast one tail occurs?
Solution:
An experiment consists of tossing a coin twice.
The sample space of the given experiment is given by
S = {HH, HT, TH, TT}
Let E be the event of getting atleast one tail. Then, E = {HT, TH, TT}
∴ P (E) = n(E)n(S)\frac{n(E)}{n(S)} = 34\frac{3}{4}
