If the refreactive index of water with respect to air (aμw)({}_a \mu_w) is   53\;\frac{5}{3} . Calculate the refractive index of air with respect to water (wμa)(_w \mu_a)
Solution:  
Given that: aμw=  53{}_a \mu_w = \;\frac{5}{3}
  ∵    wμa=  1aμw\;\because\;\; {}_w \mu_a = \;\frac{1}{{}_a \mu_w}
  ∴    μa=  153=  35\;\therefore\;\; \mu_a = \;\frac{1}{\frac{5}{3}} = \;\frac{3}{5}
