Question : 9 of 20
Marks: +1, -0
The point of intersection of the line represented by 3x - y = 3 and y-axis is given by
Solution:
3x−y=33x - y = 3 .....(1)
For y-axis, x = 0
So, 3×(0)−y=33 \times (0) - y = 3
y=−3y = -3
Now, put y=−3y = -3 in eq(1)
3x−(−3)=33x - (-3) = 3
3x+3=33x + 3 = 3
3x=03x = 0
x=0x = 0
So, intersection point is (0, -3).
