Question : 8 of 20
Marks: +1, -0
If one zero of the polynomial x2+3x+kx^2 + 3x + k is 2, then the value of k.
Solution:
Given polynomial x2+3x+k=f(x)x^2 + 3x + k = f(x)
Also, given that 2 is one of the zeros of the polynomial.
f(2)=0\therefore f(2) = 0
4+6+k=0\Rightarrow 4 + 6 + k = 0
k=10\Rightarrow k = -10
Hence, the value of k is -10
