Eight people, namely, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, and R, are seated around a circular table, some of them facing the centre while some of them facing outward, but not necessarily in the same order. K is seated second to the left of M, and O is placed third to the right of K. Exactly three people sit between O and L. O is facing the opposite direction of R. R sits immediately to the right of M. N is seated second to the right of P, who is positioned third to the left of R. K and M are facing in opposite directions. M sits third to the right of Q, and both are facing the same direction. N and L face the same direction as P. O is facing outside the circle.

Concept:

In circular seating with mixed facing, fix one person and apply the correct left-right direction rule to build the arrangement.

Formula:

Facing centre: right = anticlockwise, left = clockwise.

Solution:

Take M as the reference.

If M faces the centre, K and P clash at the same seat, so that case is rejected.

So M faces outside.

Then K is second to the left of M, O is third to the right of K, and R is immediately right of M.

Place P as third to the left of R, then N as second to the right of P.

Using exactly three people between O and L, L is fixed opposite O.

M is third to the right of Q, so Q is placed accordingly.

Final clockwise arrangement:
